Therapy Grants and Scholarships Available to Children With Special Needs:

This is a list of the therapy grants and scholarships that we have been made aware of.  Please note this is NOT an exhaustive list of what’s available to families and additional resources may be available.

  • Anchor of Hope Foundation : Anchor of Hope Foundation offers grants to special needs children to help cover the costs of therapy, education, equipment, and other needs not covered by insurance or Medicaid. The maximum grant amount is $250.00 per child per calendar year.
  • Champions for Children (Easter Seals) : The Champions for Children Program is designed to primarily assist children and families who do not meet the eligibility requirements for the TEFRA/Katie Beckett Medicaid program. The program will provide direct financial assistance and support services for Georgia’s medically fragile and special needs children and their families.
  • Innovative Health Foundation : The purpose of the IHF Clinical Scholarship Program is to increase treatment success for children with developmental disabilities through clinical scholarships and individualized, comprehensive treatment plans. The therapies considered for scholarships include the wide range of individualized programs, but exclude tuition for schools. Currently, scholarships are only offered to families residing in the State of Georgia.
  • United Healthcare Children’s Foundation : UHCCF grants provide financial help/assistance for families with children that have medical needs not covered or not fully covered by their commercial health insurance plan. The Foundation aims to fill the gap between what medical services/items a child needs and what their commercial health benefit plan will pay for.
