Meet Our Physical Therapists
Melissa Leitner, PT, DPT
Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Georgia. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Over the past 9 years, Melissa has worked exclusively in pediatrics, both in the clinic and the home environment. She has participated in a variety of continuing education courses including Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT), Myofascial Release, Torticollis and Plagiocephaly, and various treatments for children with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and other neurological and developmental conditions. When she’s not working, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and their identical twin daughters, Charlotte and Addison. She also enjoys scrapbooking, quilting, and being with friends and family.
Ali Schultz, PT, DPT
Ali grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from The University of Georgia. She then attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida and enjoyed living by the beach for 3 years. There Ali received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree, and then moved back to Atlanta to pursue her passion of working in a pediatric physical therapy setting. Ali has been working at In Harmony Pediatric Therapy since 2014 and absolutely loves it. Ali is the Physical Therapy Team Lead and Employee Morale Chair. She has taken several continuing education courses with topics including: Cerebral palsy in the pediatric population, plagiocephaly, the development of gait, the pediatric brain, Pediatric NDT and Intensive Handling Techniques, and pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine. Ali loves working with all types and ages of children, including: babies, kids with sports' injuries, children with delays in gross motor skills, neurologically involved children, etc. She is also a Credentialed Clinical Instructor, and has helped mentor many students. Ali enjoys going to the beach, playing soccer, hiking, playing tennis, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loves cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and the Buffalo Bills football teams on weekends in the fall.
Megan Boggs, PT, DPT
Megan has been working at In Harmony since June 2014. She graduated from the University of Georgia majoring in Exercise and Sports Science and from the University of North Georgia with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. When she was in college, she volunteered with Special Olympics Georgia and attended State Games as a gymnastics coach. Megan loves learning and has attended continuing education courses with an emphasis on cerebral palsy, the development of gait and gait abnormalities, and tortilcollis and plagiocephaly. In her spare time, Megan enjoys an active lifestyle, including running and yoga, baking and spending time with her husband, David and her son, Luke.
Whitney Knight, DPT
Whitney is from the Birmingham, Alabama area. She graduated from the University of Mobile with a bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training and also played volleyball for Mobile all 4 years. She then attended Alabama State University to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree in 2015.
Upon graduation, Whitney worked at Drayer Physical Therapy Institute in Prattville, AL with an outpatient orthopedic focus as well as working at The Comprehensive Therapy Center at Baptist Medical Center East where she had the opportunity to work with a variety of patients from adults to pediatrics. She then took a job at Children’s Rehab and Therapy Services in Dothan, AL as a pediatric physical therapist providing PT services to children in a pediatric outpatient clinic and in the school setting
Whitney recently moved to Atlanta and enjoys going to the beach, lake, spending time with family and friends. She is dog mom to a Goldendoodle named Millie. Whitney loves college football and the University of Alabama.
kaycee smith, DPT
Kaycee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Georgia. Before attending physical therapy school, Kaycee was a dance instructor and master choreographer in Georgia and Alabama. She received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences at St. Augustine, FL campus, receiving the top Student Physical Therapy Award of her graduating class in August 2021. Kaycee gained clinical experience throughout her graduate education in pediatric and adult populations with orthopedic and neurological conditions. She completed a 12-week internship during PT school at In Harmony Pediatric Therapy Clinic under the clinical instruction of Ali Schultz. Kaycee moved to Canton to pursue her passion for providing physical therapy while integrating dance theory with the pediatric population. During her 12-week internship at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, Kaycee used the latest technology, including the Cyberdyne exoskeleton in pediatric and adult populations with brain and spinal cord injuries. Kaycee believes education is a continuum and has taken education courses on torticollis and behavioral interventions. Kaycee enjoys outdoor activities with her husband, Glenn, spending time with family, cooking, fitness, and traveling.
